Backpacks
Storage bags provide portable inventory. Right-click a bag to open it, manage its contents, and use its four upgrade slots. Storage bags are different from cosmetic back-worn appearances.
Bag sizes:
Bag | Storage slots |
|---|---|
Poke Bag | 24 |
Pouch | 48 |
Satchel | 72 |
Haversack | 96 |
Backpack | 144 |
Crafting and increasing capacity:
Start with a Poke Bag, then upgrade through Pouch → Satchel → Haversack → Backpack. Use a player Crafting Table and the precise custom ingredients shown below. Each occupied grid slot takes one item and each recipe returns one bag.
A valid capacity upgrade keeps the original bag's identity, contents, and installed upgrades. Place that actual previous-tier bag in the center of its upgrade recipe. Automated crafters are blocked for these stateful bags; use the player crafting interface.
Poke Bag — 24 slots
Pouch — 48 slots
Satchel — 72 slots
Haversack — 96 slots
Backpack — 144 slots
See Ores for the ingots and gems used in these recipes. Use the recipe's actual custom item; renaming a vanilla item does not make it an ingredient.
Bag upgrades:
Upgrade | What it does |
|---|---|
Pickup | Automatically accepts collected drops into an eligible carried or equipped bag. |
Filter | Allows selected item types for automatic additions; up to nine types per filter. |
Feed | Uses suitable food stored in the bag when your hunger falls. |
Bigger Stacks | Lets normally stackable items reach stacks of up to 99 inside the bag. |
Install upgrades in the bag menu's upgrade slots. Multiple filters can be used; matching works with the allowed item types you selected. Bigger Stacks does not make normally unstackable items stackable. Read an upgrade's current tooltip and menu before installing it.
The Workstations shop does not currently sell bag upgrades or the full bag progression. The Phantom Market can rotate bag-related offers and upgrade tokens; inspect the actual offer. Higher Gold and Diamond upgrade definitions do not guarantee that those variants are currently in stock.
Storage rules:
You cannot place a backpack inside another backpack. Backpacks are excluded from automatic bag pickup. Keep food in a Feed-equipped bag if you intend to use that feature, and review filters when a collected item goes to the normal inventory instead.
See Phantom Market for rotating stock and Cosmetics for appearance-only backpacks.
